USAC “Week of Indy” Going to Be Big Spectacle

INDIANAPOLIS – NASCAR has Daytona Speedweeks in February. There’s not just a ton of races at the Daytona International Speedway down there in late winter, but there’s also short track racing at New Smyrna, Ocala and other places around Central Florida as well. Well, the week of the Indianapolis 500 is becoming its own “speedweeks.” Obviously there’s the ‘500 on Sunday, but there’s also five other support races around the Indy area as well. The Indiana Sprint Week is one of the most prestigious USAC Sprint Car Series events each season. Several big named drivers take part in it, but in this year’s classic, the first-time winners are stealing the show.
