Penske Credits SHR’s Switch To Ford As Reason For Uptick In Ford’s Performance

HOMESTEAD, Fla – For the second consecutive season, we have the same four organizations competing for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series championship. The 2018 title on the owners side will come down to Stewart-Haas Racing, Team Penske, Joe Gibbs Racing and Furniture Row Racing. While three of the four drivers are the same too (Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch, Martin Truex Jr.) the only difference is that this year, it’s Joey Logano representing Penske not Brad Keselowski. But, this time around, the Fords are the favorites. Last year, it was the…

Roger Penske has been around racing for decades. When he speaks, everyone listens. He’s earned that right. Every single one of his teams has been successful. They’ve won 14 championships and 500 races in all forms of motor racing. So, when Penske takes offense to something, we should pay attention. If Not For Keselowski, Logano Likely Isn’t In Victory Lane Sunday

MARTINSVILLE, VA – Sunday’s First Data 500 at the Martinsville Speedway will give us highlight reels for years to come. We can thank Brad Keselowski for that. The Team Penske driver helped Joey Logano stay up front so he and Martin Truex Jr. could duke it out over the final nine laps of the opening race of the Round of 8. See, Keselowski passed by Kyle Busch for second place with 33 laps left in the race itself. It didn’t take any time at all for Keselowski to get to Logano’s…

Despite All 3 Drivers Finishing In The Top 8, 2 Penske Drivers Eliminated From Cup Playoffs

While nothing is certain leading into a restrictor plate race for any NASCAR event on the schedule, one thing that is becoming as sure of a thing as ever is that Ford will be the favorites to land in victory lane in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series at either Daytona or Talladega. Since the July Daytona race in 2014, Ford drivers have won 12 of the last 17 points paying restrictor plate races. That’s a 71-percent success rate. But, over the last 10 races, they’re 8-for-10 (80%).
