Ford Delivers Another Strong Restrictor Plate Race

TALLADEGA, Ala – One manufacturer is going to hate to see this new 2019 rules package in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. Ford, would love to keep this restrictor plate package for another year. Instead, three of the four plate races in 2019 will use tapered spacers instead of restrictor plates. That’s not a welcomed site for them. Sunday’s 1000Bulbs.com 500 at the Talladega Superspeedway was their 18th restrictor plate win in the last 32 races. That’s 18 wins since 2011. But, over the last 11, they’ve reached victory lane…

Stenhouse, Allmendinger, Smith Have Great Days In Talladega

TALLADEGA, Ala – Three drivers that normally aren’t contending for wins during the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season leave the Talladega Superspeedway with top 10 finishes in Sunday’s 1000Bulbs.com 500. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. benefitted from hitting pit lane on Lap 161 to bring his No. 17 Ford home third. When most of the leaders were low on fuel, Stenhouse could pounce. Busch and Truex Have Rough Days But Late Caution Saves Their Playoff Hopes

TALLADEGA, Ala – Who would have thought that despite being involved in the last lap crash in Turn 1, both Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr. would be leaving the Talladega Superspeedway in good shape in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series playoffs. For much of Sunday’s 1000Bulbs.com 500, both Busch and Truex would ride in the back. It wasn’t by design either. They were just that off in terms of handling. Truex, scored zero stage points for the entire race while Busch had just four. For the Round of 12,…

TALLADEGA, Ala – Matt Crafton can thank his lucky stars that his No. 88 Ford was so strong in the first 40 Laps of Saturday’s Fr8Auction 250 at the Talladega Superspeedway.
