Joey Logano Penalized After Richmond Win, Can’t Count Victory for Playoffs

Hope Joey Logano really enjoyed his victory on Sunday at the Richmond International Raceway, I mean REALLY enjoyed it, because on Thursday, NASCAR announced that they have penalized Logano’s No. 22 Team Penske Ford team for rear suspension being in violation. It was discovered during a teardown at the R&D Center in Concord, North Carolina. The penalty carries multiple consequences, which includes making Joey Logano’s win at Richmond on Sunday encumbered. The encumbered win is the first for a victorious Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series team since NASCAR adopted that policy…

Kyle Larson Wins XFINITY Series Race at Richmond

It’s not a short track race if drivers aren’t mad after it. For the NASCAR XFINITY Series drivers, four drivers were pretty frustrated with how today’s race transpirted, but what’s weird is, no one was made at another driver. Nevertheless, when two late restarts played out at the .75-mile short track, Larson was the race winner in overtime, and Allgaier was a disappointed second, consoled only by the $100,000 check he collected as the winner of the XFINITY Dash 4 Cash bonus as the highest finishing series regular.

Roush/Fenway Racing Duo Strong Again This Weekend in Richmond

One thing is starting to show now for Roush/Fenway Racing, and that’s in the fact that they’ve got an above average short track program. This isn’t necessarily something to go rah rah about per say, but it’s a start. To be good on a specific discipline of a race track is better than to be off at all of them. For RFR, being off on all of them isn’t too far in the rear view mirror either. The last several years have been some of RFR’s worst. They’ve just struggled to compete,…
