Brownsburg, Ind – Friday night was a record setting night in Indianapolis. Matt Hagan set the Funny Car track record with a 3.799-seconds pass with a speed of 338.77 mph in the first round of qualifying. But, he wasn’t the only one to do so too. Leah Pritchett also set a track record with a pass of 3.667-seconds with a speed of 329.50 mph. But, those passes were quickly passed in qualifying on Saturday.

Brownsburg, Ind – It’s been four years since Steve Torrence last made it to the final round of the Traxxas Nitro Top Fuel Shootout. Torrence, was runner-up to Spencer Massey in 2012 and runner-up again to Shawn Langdon in 2013. But, he hasn’t made it back since. Until Saturday. Las Vegas To Host Another 4-Wide NHRA Event In 2018

The NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series will add a second four-wide racing event in 2018, in April at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, when the Denso Spark Plug NHRA Nationals joins the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals, held annually since 2010 at zMAX Dragway in Charlotte, on the season schedule. The speedway announced plans to widen The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway to four lanes, and construction is already under way in anticipation of April 4-6, 2018 event.
