INDIANAPOLIS – In a bit of some shocking news to come out on Tuesday, Mazda announced that they will be pulling the plug on the Verizon IndyCar Series support series’ at the end of the 2018 season. The California based company sated that they would like to focus their resources elsewhere and is terminating their involvement with Indy Lights, Pro Mazda and USF2000 at the end of the year. Mazda Road To Indy Friday Recap From Barber

Leeds, Ala – After having a little over a month off, two of the three Mazda Road to Indy ladders were back in action on Friday at the Barber Motorsports Park. The Pro Mazda Series and Indy Lights drivers took to the 2.3-mile Alabama road course for one practice session each. Also, the 16 Pro Mazda drivers had one qualifying session too. ST. PETERSBURG, Fla – After Friday’s opening day to the Mazda Road to Indy season, Saturday was the first race day of the year. Yesterday saw one practice session for each of the three rings of the ladder, then qualifying for today’s season openers after. INDIANAPOLIS – A few weeks ago Belardi Racing hinted that moves for the 2018 racing season should soon be revealed. On Thursday, one move was confirmed. Aaron Telitz will return to the team for the 2018 Indy Lights season as the 2016 Pro Mazda champion earned another look for the prominent Indy Lights Series organization.
