Townley to Return to Racing This Weekend in Pocono

After missing the last few races with concussion like symptoms, John Wes Townley will return to racing this weekend at the Pocono Raceway. Townley, will race in both the ARCA Series race as well as the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event at the 2.5-mile Pennsylvania track this weekend, as they will be his first two races in over a month. Townley, Gallagher Fined, Placed on Probation for Fight in Gateway

NASCAR has penalized John Wes Townely and Spencer Gallagher for their actions Saturday night’s Camping World Truck Series race at Gateway Motorsports Park. On Lap 145, both drivers made contact with one another in Turn 1 sending Townley spinning. Then, 10 laps later, they collided again, this time taking both drivers out. Afterwards, Townley and Gallagher began verbally yelling at one another before a wresting match ensued and a few punches being thrown. As a result, Townley was fined $15k while Gallagher $12,500.
