INDIANAPOLIS – Two years ago, the Iowa Speedway, Verizon IndyCar Series and the TV networks decided to move the race from a Saturday night show to a Sunday afternoon start. The 2018 race will remain the same way. Iowa Speedway announced their 2018 racing schedule on Wednesday and the Iowa Corn 300 will remain on the same weekend as before with the race taking part on Sunday, July 8. Servia, Montoya Test Different Downforce Levels at Iowa, Both Agree Upon The Same Levels, Say Racing Will Greatly Improve

For the third time, both Verizon IndyCar Series test drivers were extremely thrilled with the new 2018 car concept after taking the Honda and Chevrolet powered cars to the Iowa Speedway on Thursday. This weekend will be rare territory for all three NASCAR divisions. First off, the NASCAR XFINITY Series will be a standalone event again this weekend at the Iowa Speedway. With that being said, with the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series as well as the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series teams being at the Pocono Raceway and their schedules at that venue, the XFINITY Series race will truly be a standalone event.
