After Friday’s Final 2 XFINITY Series Practices, It Looks Like The 2017 Champion May Not Have To Win Saturday’s Race

Homestead, Fla – Out of the three NASCAR divisions crowning their season champion this weekend at the Homestead-Miami Speedway, the only series that I could see a champion be crowned by not actually win the race was in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series should see the race winner on Friday night be either one of Matt Crafton, Johnny Sauter, Christopher Bell or Austin Cindric. The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season finale on Sunday should see one of their Championship 4 drivers win too. After all,…

Avondale, AZ – Chevrolet entered this weekend’s NASCAR XFINITY Series race with a great shot of getting four drivers into the Championship 4 at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. But, the fourth driver to advance on though, wasn’t who they thought it would be. Daniel Hemric fought his way into the Championship 4 by virtue of his fifth place run in his No. 21 Chevrolet. William Byron Wins Saturday’s Ticket Galaxy 200, Championship 4 Set

Avondale, AZ – Last year, William Byron led over 100 laps and was well on his way to winning the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at the Phoenix Raceway. Kansas City, KS – For the fourth straight race in the NASCAR XFINITY Series playoffs, a non playoff driver reached victory lane on Saturday afternoon at the Kansas Speedway. Erik Jones dominated Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300, but his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate of Christopher Bell had other thoughts in mind. Jones, led a race-high 186 of the 200 laps on Saturday and was well in control of earning his third win of the season. But, Bell was coming on fast in his No. 18 Toyota and caught Jones for the lead…

Alex Bowman Wins Saturday’s Rain Delayed Drive For The Cure 300

Concord, NC – It was a wacky and wild day at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. First, we saw rain wash out both Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series practice sessions as well as qualifying for Saturday’s NASCAR XFINITY Series race. Then, we saw while the track was mostly dry, the NBC car driven by Erik Jones hit the steps that someone left out on the front stretch that connects the grandstands to the track. Then, we’d see the race itself be delayed by over five hours due to rain falling on the…
