Sundays Bank of America 500 Start Time Moved Up To 1 p.m. ET.

Concord, NC – Rain moved into the Charlotte area very early on Saturday morning, forcing NASCAR to cancel both Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series practice sessions. That means the 40 drivers in Sunday’s Bank of America 500 (1 p.m. ET/NBC/PRN) field will have had just 55 minutes of practice this weekend. With that being said, Saturday’s rain mixed with remnants of a Hurricane coming through the North Carolina area have forced NASCAR competition officials as well as Charlotte Motor Speedway staff to move up the start time for Sunday’s race up…

Jimmie Johnson Struggling This Weekend at Charlotte

Concord, NC – I wrote last weekend how the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover would tell us a lot about how Jimmie Johnson would fare the rest of the playoffs. After all, he took his No. 48 Chevrolet to victory lane for the 11th time of his career at Dover back in June. But, that was the last time he also came away with a top five finish on the season. He answered a lot in coming home third last Sunday. Now, this weekend’s race at the Charlotte…

But, in qualifying later on in the day, they flipped the script.

Can Kevin Harvick Get Back On Track This Weekend at Charlotte?

Due to the amount of playoff points that Kevin Harvick racked up during the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series regular season, he advanced to the second round of the playoffs. But, “Happy” Harvick isn’t so happy at the moment. Yes, he finished third in the playoff opener at Chicagoland Speedway, but his cars the last two weeks weren’t there for his liking. At New Hampshire, it was off all over the track, as he faded to a running position outside of the top 10. Then, the crash happened on Lap…
