In a move designed to strengthen a relationship that dates back more than 60 years, NASCAR announced today the acquisition of the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA). Both NASCAR and ARCA, a Midwest-based sanctioning body for stock car auto racing, share a long history: ARCA founder John Marcum raced against Bill France Sr. and worked as a NASCAR official. Townley to Return to Racing This Weekend in Pocono

After missing the last few races with concussion like symptoms, John Wes Townley will return to racing this weekend at the Pocono Raceway. Townley, will race in both the ARCA Series race as well as the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event at the 2.5-mile Pennsylvania track this weekend, as they will be his first two races in over a month.
