INDIANAPOLIS – If you ask me, the entire Verizon IndyCar Series race weekend at the Gateway Motorsports Park was a huge success. The entire team on both sides did a great job of promoting the event and it showed when 40,000+ spectators filled into the 1.25-mile track on Saturday night to watch the Bommarito Automotive Group 500. Santi Urrutia Wins Thrilling Indy Lights Race at Gateway, Kaiser All But Clinches The Title

Madison, Ill – The Indy Lights Series race at the Gateway Motorsports Park was as advertised. Santi Urrutia and Juan Piedrahita put on a heck of a show battling for the lead lap after lap with Urrutia making the winning pass by Piedrahita on a late race restart and cruising to his second win of the season. It was Urrutia’s sixth career victory, one that he hoped would be a championship saving one, but it proved to not be enough.

Mid-Ohio Shakes Up Indy Lights Title Fight

Lexington, OH – Entering this weekend’s Indy Lights doubleheader at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, it looked like Kyle Kaiser would run away with the season championship. He had a wide lead in the standings over second place Matheus Leist and even swept the race weekend the last time out at Toronto.
