Ferrari’s Lead Formula 1 Practice on Friday in Russia

Is the tide turning in Russia? Entering this weekend’s Russian Grand Prix, Mercedes drivers have won all three poles, won all three races and even led every lap of all three events. But, after three races to start the Formula One season, Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel has won two of the three events. Also, they’re right on the tail of Mercedes for laps led in 2017 too. After practice in Sochi on Friday, it appears that the two Ferrari cars may be the ones to beat now this weekend.

As we enter the fourth annual Russian Grand Prix, just one driver on the Formula One grid has ever led a lap around the 18-turn Sochi Autodrom street course in Russia. That driver, is Lewis Hamilton.
