LEEDS, Ala – Its been a flawless weekend thus far for Parker Thompson. The rookie was fastest in the lone practice session of the weekend on Friday at the Barber Motorsports Park. Then, in qualifying later on in the day, Thompson qualified his No. 90 Mazda on the pole for today’s race. On Saturday morning, the 16 drivers hit the 2.3-mile Alabama track to qualify for Sunday’s race No. 2. Thompson once again was quickest.

Martin Truex Jr. is a pole machine. Chevrolet Has Decent Chance Of Win Sunday at Barber

LEEDS, Ala – The 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series season has been dominated by the Honda camp so far. Through the races, Honda drivers sit 1-3-4-5-6-7-9-10 in the points standings, for eight of the top 10. They finished 1-2-3-4-5-6-8-9 in the season opening race at St. Pete, then 2-3-4-5-6 at Phoenix. Last weekend in Long Beach, they were 1-3-4-5-6 in that race too.
