Daniel Suarez will get a familiar voice back in his helmet again. Dave Rogers will be his interim crew chief for the remainder of the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season as his current crew chief Scott Graves resigned from Joe Gibbs Racing on Tuesday.
Rogers, was Suarez’ crew chief for five races last season before taking a leave of absence. Graves, stepped in as his crew chief in wake of that and remained with him up until last weekend. When Rogers came back to JGR, he was the technical director for the XFINITY Series program.
Rogers has had some good success in the Cup Series with 18 career victories. He’s worked with Carl Edwards, Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin.
