Kyle Busch Wins the Pole For Friday Night’s Food City 300 (7 p.m. ET/NBCSN/PRN/SiriusXM NASCAR Radio)

Kyle Busch earned the top starting spot for Friday night’s Food City 300 (7 p.m. ET/NBCSN/PRN/SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) as the Joe Gibbs Racing driver turned a lap of 124.686 mph in his No. 18 Toyota. Busch, is a 21 time winner at the Bristol (Tenn) Motor Speedway, nine of which occurring in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. In fact, Busch has won five times on the concrete oval since 2010 and is in a good position to win again this weekend.

He will be joined by his JGR teammate Christopher Bell on the front row. Bell, turned a lap of 123.986 mph in his No. 20 Toyota.

JGR has won 12 of the last 16 races in XFINITY Series competition at Bristol and will once again be the ones to beat on Friday night.

Two Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers in Kyle Larson (123.682 mph) and Joey Logano (123.674 mph) will start third and fourth respectively while Matt Tifft will roll off fifth in his No. 2 Chevrolet. The Ohio native turned a lap of 123.340 mph.
