Ahead Of This Month’s INDYCAR Race In Gateway, Track To Add $1-Million In Improvements

The Verizon IndyCar Series’ return to the Gateway Motorsports Park was met with rave reviews last August as an estimate crowd of 40k attended the Bommarito Automotive Group 500. Now, ahead of the series’ second consecutive trip to the St. Louis area track, Gateway has spent an estimate $1-million on upgrades to the facility. Gateway 1.25-mile oval’s pit road received some fresh pavement in preparation for the August 24-25 INDYCAR Weekend, as paving included the entrance to pit road as well as pit exit.
