David Malukas Sweeps Road America Weekend In Another Flag To Flag Victory

ELKHART LAKE, Wis – It was as perfect of a weekend as one could have for David Malukas and his overall organization. Malukas, led flag to flag in both Pro Mazda Series races combining for 30 laps led en route to a weekend sweep in Road America.

Malukas, led all 15 laps from the pole in both races in achieving his first two victories in Pro Mazda Series competition. He’s now had four podiums in his rookie season in the series. 

His teammate Toby Sowery came home runner-up to Malukas in both races as Sowery’s impressive weekend came in his first two series starts of his career. Both drivers were 8+ seconds clear of everyone else on Friday and were 9+ second clear on Saturday.

Untouchable.

Rookie Harrison Scott brought his No. 10 Mazda home third while rookies Parker Thompson and Rinus VeeKay rounded out the top five.

It was exactly the same top five finishers as Friday’s race.

Thompson, now leads VeeKay by 36 points leaving Road America.
