5 Favorites For Sunday’s Monaco Grand Prix

This is bar none the best motorsports weekend of the year. It all starts on Sunday morning with the prestigious Monaco Grand Prix. It’s a race every driver wants to win. So, who are the ones to watch for the victory this weekend?

Here are the top five.

Sebastian Vettel

Its been a rough couple of races for the Ferrari driver. Not only did he lose the points lead, but Lewis Hamilton blew by him. Most though, think Vettel can make up some ground this weekend.

Vettel, is the defending race winner and a two time overall Monaco Grand Prix champion. He has seven top four finishes there in his last eight starts. Ferrari’s are the second best team thus far this weekend.

Lewis Hamilton

A lot of people are saying that Mercedes may be down this weekend. I don’t fully buy it. Hamilton, has won the last two F1 races on the season and has three podiums in his last four years in Monaco. While he was seventh last year, he won in 2016. They’ll be a factor on Sunday.

Valtteri Bottas

He’s yet to finish on the podium in Monaco. In fact, he has just one top 10 finish overall there. This could be his weekend though. Bottas, has been fast all season and if a little luck can go his way, he’s going to wind up a winner.

Daniel Ricciardo

He’s already won this season and I sense a second victory is on the horizon this weekend. Ricciardo, has four straight top five finishes in Monaco, including two consecutive podiums. The speed and power is there for his car, so watch out. He was quickest in both sessions on Thursday and has been the driver to beat all weekend so far.

Max Verstappen

He didn’t finish his first two Monaco starts but last year resulted in a fifth place run. With a better car it seems this weekend, the only way to go is up right? Red Bull have been the class of the weekend, so why not put both drivers on here.
