Kyle Busch Wins the Pole for Sunday’s Axalta presents the Pocono 400

For the second straight week, it was another Toyota show in Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series qualifying. Last week, Toyota’s swept the top two rows at Dover, this week at Pocono, they took the top three qualifying spots.

Like last week, Kyle Busch will start on the pole, his second of the season, with the Joe Gibbs Racing driver turning a lap of 179.151 mph in his No. 18 Toyota. It was his third of his career at the 2.5-mile Pocono Raceway and 21st of his Cup career. 

He was the only one to top the 179 mph barrier.

Busch, topped another Toyota in Martin Truex Jr. by 0.171-seconds, as Truex will start second in his No. 78 Toyota. It was the same top two from last week.

Busch’s JGR teammate of Matt Kenseth came home third, while a Ford trio of Ryan Blaney, Kurt Busch and Brad Keselowski will start fourth through sixth.
