INDIANAPOLIS – Harding Racing was a late addition to this year’s Indianapolis 500 entry-list. The plan has been the works for over a year, but it finally happened this May. Now, the team is adding two more races to their 2017 Verizon IndyCar Series schedule.
Harding, will race at the Texas Motor Speedway next month and the race at the Pocono Raceway in August.
Gabby Chaves will drive the No. 88 Chevrolet in each.
The reason for the added prescence this year is because the team is fully intending to run a full season in 2018.
When asked about why Texas and Pocono, team officials said because they are the only other superspeedways and with them having that kit for them this year at Indy, it makes logical sense to run at those two tracks as well.
Chaves, signed a two-year deal, so he will be the driver next year too.
