USAC Midgets Take to Kokomo Speedway for 74th and 75th Time in Weekend Doubleheader

INDIANAPOLIS – For the past six decades, the USAC Midgets have been coming to the Kokomo Speedway. The 1/4-mile dirt track just north of Indianapolis is the only venue from USAC’s initial National Midget season of 1956 that remains on the series’ calendar to this day. On Friday, the 74th ever Midget race at Kokomo will occur, with Saturday being the 75th event. It’s a doubleheader weekend at the Kokomo Speedway as this weekend is the first two races where the national midgets have been outdoors.

Richard Petty’s Grandson Thad Moffitt to Make ARCA Debut This Weekend in Nashville

Thad Moffitt, the 16-year-old grandson of seven time NASCAR Cup champion Richard Petty, will make his ARCA Racing Series debuit on Saturday night in the Music City 200 presented by Azure Foundation at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville, Tennessee. This weekend’s race will mark Moffitt’s first career ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards start. The 16-year-old tested with Empire Racing Group, a development team of Richard Petty Motorsports, on the historic high-banked short-track last week, and proved he was ready for the next challenge.
