Starting This Weekend, All 3 NASCAR Divisions Will Race Together Rest of the Season

Its been a while since this has happened, over two months to be exact, but all three major divisions of NASCAR will be together at the same track this weekend. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, NASCAR X-Finity Series and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will all be racing this weekend at the Texas Motor Speedway.

In fact, this isn’t the last time this will happen, as all three series’ will close out the rest of their respective 2016 seasons together.

They will all go to the Phoenix International Raceway together next weekend then to the Homestead-Miami Speedway to close out the season together in two weeks as well.

But, what makes this year different than the past is that all three have Chase battles now.

2016 is the inaugural year for a Chase in the Trucks and X-Finity Series’ as their final two rounds now line up with the Cup drivers’.

Texas marks two races to go in all three of their Chases, as all three will have four drivers advance past Phoenix to Homestead. Then at Homestead, the top finisher among the four in each series will be crowned the champion.

So, that in turn makes this weekend and Phoenix more ramped up than in years past as there’s three not one Chase race during their respective race weekends.
