Lewis Hamilton Earns Formula 1 Pole in Malaysia

No one was going to get in Lewis Hamilton’s way of the pole for Sunday’s Malaysian Grand Prix, as the Mercedes drive turned a lap of 1:32.850-seconds in his No. 44 entry on Saturday en route to the top starting spot tomorrow. Hamilton, is trying to get back in the championship lead after seeing his teammate Nico Rosberg reach the top step of the podium the last three races.

Rosberg, will start second in his No. 6 Mercedes as the German turned a lap of 1:33.264-seconds.

As of now, it looks like Mercedes will once again be the team to beat, but the Red Bull cars will be close. They were right behind the Mercedes duo in qualifying as Max Verstappen (1:33.420-seconds) and Daniel Ricciardo (1:33.467-seconds) will start third and fourth respectively.

The two Ferrari’s will share Row 3 as Sebastien Vettel (1:33.584) and Kimi Raikkonen (1:33.632-seconds) will start fifth and sixth.

From there, the two Force India drivers then Jenson Button and Felipe Massa rounded out the top 10.
