USAC Sprints to Race at Putnamville This Weekend In “Bill Gardner Sprintacular”

The USAC Sprints starts their dominating month of July this weekend in Putnamville at Lincoln Park Speedway. They will take to the 5/16-mile dirt track this Friday night for the second annual “Bill Gardner Sprintacular.” The USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship race celebrates the memory of the founder of the popular Indiana Open Forum.

Last year, Jerry Coons Jr. won the inaugural event, as several other contenders will vie to become the winner in the second annual race.

Brady Bacon enters Friday night’s race with a 59-point lead in the latest series standings as he registered the 100th USAC Sprint Car victory for his team, Dynamics, Inc. last Thursday at the Jackson (Minn.) Motorplex (95 National, 2 Midwest and 3 Special Event). 

Chad Boespflug led all but the first lap of Friday’s “Rumble in the Bullring” at Eagle (Neb.) Raceway last Friday night. Robert Ballou, of Rocklin, Calif., led all 30 laps of Saturday’s race at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas while Thomas Meseraull won the last race last Sunday night at Lakeside.
